Our Osprey Nest was donated and erected by Peter Stoutenburgh in 2013. It sits on land originally part of the Waterfront property, but sold to Robins Island Holdings, who in collaboration with NSWF, protected it from development. The nest was erected to commemorate the fact that an easement on the property protects its scenic views, and allows birds to build their homes here rather than people! ‘Holland and ‘Baycon (the pair of osprey named by New Suffolk school kids) have made it their home.
