Simona Fabrizio

Simona Fabrizio is an Italian chef and sommelier. Always passionate about cooking, she began learning at a young age in her mother’s and grandmother’s kitchens. Simona was professionally trained in London and then at the famous Gambero Rosso culinary school in Rome. Simona qualified as a sommelier at the Federazione Italiana Sommelier.

Simona lives and manages her own farm near Orvieto, Umbria. From there she runs her small business “Sagraincasa”, which includes a cooking school and a catering business. Simona specializes in use of fresh ingredients, sourced from her own garden, orchard and olive grove and from the best local producers. A few years ago, Simona started a Garden to Table project, in which many international chefs have since participated.

Simona has interned at Michelin star restaurants Melisse in Los Angeles and The French Laundry in Napa, California. She has also been a visiting chef at many special culinary events in the United States. For more information about Simona, see her website at www.sagraincasa.com
